Six models,
one concept.
Our combined heat and power units bring together an integrated concept which is unique on the market with its combination of properties. No matter which model they have, our customers benefit from the versatile control, excellent sound insulation, easy integration into buildings and uncompromising efficiency.
Uncompromisingly efficient
Our housings do not feature ventilation and we thus prevent associated heat losses. This is achievable thanks to our fully developed integrated concept with water-cooled generators and heat-resistant materials. The condensing-capable flue gas heat exchangers fitted as standard provide an additional efficiency gain.
Thorough sound insulation
You’ll sleep well thanks to our concept for peaceful nights. Our self-developed flue gas and intake air silencer systems are specifically designed for the individual characteristics of the module concerned. We are a leader in noise control with our sound insulation housings and extensive structure-borne sound isolation measures.
Ready-to-connect compact models
If space is at a premium on your premises, the compact, modular design of our CHP units makes them easy to deliver and set up on site. Moreover, components such as the flue gas heat exchanger, pump assembly or the control technology are already integrated into the module and do not take up extra space in the boiler room.
Controller
The scope of our control technology and the level of measurement-based monitoring for our CHP controller are unique for our performance classes.

Green energy.
Compared to conventional technologies, our natural gas-fired combined heat and power units have always boasted an excellent carbon balance with low pollutant emissions. The use of renewable gases such as hydrogen, biogas or biomethane is the next step towards greenhouse gas neutrality. With the help of electricity grid stability, combined heat and power units make a key contribution to energy transition.
Biomethane
All our modules can be operated with biomethane. Biomethane refers to biogas which is fed into the general gas network after suitable treatment. In this way, Mephisto combined heat and power units can also be operated with a carbon-neutral fuel when there is no adjacent direct connection to a biogas plant, as is the case in urban areas.
Biogas
Biogas can also be used with our units. Until now, our biogas CHP units have mainly been used in Switzerland thanks to the favourable framework conditions there; however, they are also being increasingly used in Germany. We will gladly check your particular biogas project to see if it is viable and cost-efficient.
Hydrogen
Hydrogen is a great hope as a future energy storage medium and can be produced using renewable energies, making it largely climate-neutral. Our combined heat and power units are already designed to operate using a hydrogen admixture of up to 20 percent today, meaning they are H2-ready now. We have taken on the technological challenge of gradually increasing the proportion of hydrogen to 100 percent and are already successfully testing this in model projects.
